my grandparents and dad one day and then my uncle and aunt and dad on Sunday at Scott's parent's place - along with like 20 guys from LeTourneau - ok, not 20, but a lot. It was really great to see my dad for a few days. We went through a bunch of old pictures that are stored in the attic. We were looking for some of a specific couple from Guam who are celebrating their 50th anniversary, but in the meantime also enjoyed reminiscing about
all the others that we found as well. I took digital pictures of several to share with friends on facebook. They all seemed to enjoy that. :) Above is one of my family a few years back. Heh - oops, you can see my finger on the left side of that one... I should have cropped it better. For lunch with my family we went to the Lux Cafe - which is a new family restaurant type
We also got to have lunch at Hacienda with Scott's mom and brother on Saturday. I haven't been there in forever. It was delicious as always. Casa Brava is our really great, different, but equally good - if not better, Mexican food substitute here in our town. And I got to check out a house my parents are thinking of buying to fix up. I had to wake up at like 5:30 to go, but I'm always up for checking out houses. :)
Just in case you were wondering, dad made it back to Africa safely.

Hi Rhonda!
I'm glad you had a good visit with your dad and that he returned safely to Africa. I haven't been too crafty lately, but Dan is going camping with Eric this weekend so I figure I will have some time. I want to make a hooded towel for Noelle. I don't have a pattern, so wish me luck. But I do have a towel someone gave me that I am looking off of. I would love to see pictures of what you've been doing. Maybe it will inspire me:o) Oh, and I do have my second knitting lesson on Tuesday! Yippee!
later,
D
