Argh!

So I'm trying to sew and my machine keeps jamming. I've tried everything to fix it. But something in the bobbin mechanism is catching on something. I pulled it all apart and tried to figure out when I notice the problem and then try to remedy it and still nothing. Grrr. I guess I'll need to take it to the repair shop.

I got most of one of the burp cloths that I'm making done. I'm sort of just winging it. First I straight stitched the front sides together, leaving a bit on one side undone so I could turn it inside out. Then I tried to blind stitch the opening closed. To finish things off and make sure it wasn't going to fall apart on whoever I give it to, I thought I'd zig zag all the way around on the top edges. And that's when my machine decided it was done. It did this the last time I used it and I just forgot how bad it was.

So here are the fabrics I'm using for the burp cloths. I got them at Hobby Lobby - where there usually isn't much selection of fabric to choose from. But the last time I went in they had one or two displays of really cute stuff like this. It's kind of expensive though - I guess you get what you pay for. :)


And then here is what I'm going to use for the reversible apron I may never end up making. I hope to try. We'll see if my sewing machine is up for it... I got the fabric at Jo-Anne. We really don't have much nice fabric selection here in town. I guess I could look around online but I have something against not being able to see and feel it before I buy.
