I finished the I Spy quilt a week or two ago. I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. It definitely has it's flaws but overall is what I was hoping for. I think my next project will be to finish a larger twin or maybe queen size quilt. I have fabric that I cut out already to make a shower curtain a while back. But I found a different shower curtain in the meantime that I liked better so need to re-purpose that fabric for another project. So maybe it will be baby's toddler quilt... we'll see.

Close-upI also just finished a small project that I like pretty well, but don't think I'm going to share pictures of it just yet. You'll probably just end up seeing it when I put up pictures of the baby room. It is a wall hanging with the baby's name on it. We've mostly decided on a name and since we're pretty sure it's going to stick I decided it was safe to put the project together already. However, if something drastic happens and we end up changing our mind at the last minute I figure I'll wait to share the name here. But the project was fun. I saw it on HGTV. They used foam board and cut it into different sized squares and rectangles and cut coordinating sizes of pretty scrapbook paper and stuck them together, then overlapped the various pieces enough to make one large wall hanging. They used it to go in a living room over a couch. I adapted the idea and just used enough pieces for the letters of his name and staggered them in a row. I cut the letters out of thin sheets of craft foam. It all came together pretty well. I like it anyway. :)

What a cute quilt!
Adorable - I love seeing pictures of finished quilts. Now it's time for me to finish some of my own :-)
I think it turned out great! Way to go!
