I'm really liking this ABC room:
But most people I've asked so far prefer this Jungle one:
And I like it too, I'm just not as crazy about it. Here are my dilemmas: I wanted to use white furniture and the ABC set has a lot of white in it already so I'd probably end up wanting to use darker furniture. AND the walls in the nursery are still white. I was originally thinking of painting at some point, but then when I decided to do multicolor/primary colors I thought I might be able to get away with not painting since there would be so many bright colors in the room. But with all the white I'd feel the need to paint. I could probably be creative and use the colors in the set to make some sort of wall hangings or something to brighten the room up without painting. Plus maybe the set is a little more colorful in real life than it looks in the picture.What I love about the ABC set are the stripes and polka dots. I really like the more modern feel and the color combination is perfect! And it could be used for both a boy or a girl. (Of course if we ever have a girl I have this feeling that I won't be able to help but get a girly set with some pink in it...so that may not be a legitimate argument.)
I like the Jungle one because there are more definite bright colors that I think the baby might like (not that he'll ever remember or really care...) and the jungle theme is fun too since mom and dad are in Africa and can probably bring home some fun jungle themed stuff. Like a huge wooden giraffe (if they can carry it on the plane with them). :) And I DO really like that rug - it's super cute...
So, your thoughts?

I really like the ABC one. I am with you on the stripes & polka dots. The jungle one is cute too, but my vote is the ABC one. :)
They are both cute, but I like the ABC one. I see your point, though, with the white walls and furniture - it may be a little much. Maybe you could get the white furniture and then paint the walls?

Based on our "non-typical" girl,the jungle theme would work well for a girl too. ;)
I think the ABC bedding is really classy. Is there a reason you prefer white furniture? I have a white crib for Miranda and got a dark one for Johnny (expresso) and I actually like the dark one better. I also think the ABC theme goes really well with the fun quilt you are making. However, I do like the Grandma and Grandpa in Africa link with the jungle theme.
